You might be thinking what am I talking about? Well there’s a new line of wine on the market and it’s produced by The Parlotones. Interesting. It’s called Giant Mistake and here are the deets courtesy of my esteemed colleague Gabisile Ndebele:

ROCK band The Parlotones have become the South Africa’s newest — and most unlikely — winemakers.

The three-times South African Music Awards nominees have been hard at work in the cellars of Bosman Wine Estate in Wellington, outside Cape Town, where they have been blending their own wine out of Pinotage, Shiraz and other varietals.

Lead singer Kahn Morbee told The Times that this was just another “cool” way of venturing into business.

“We’ve always wanted to know how to make wine and now, with the help of wine experts at the farm, we are making our own,” he said.

“We’ve been mixing a whole lot of flavours to find what we really like . We will call it a Giant Mistake after a song in our latest album, A World Next Door To Yours.”

According to their Twitter page the guys are “indoors” busy with a shoot:

“We’re back at the Bosman wine estate – it’s a rather rainy day but luckily we’re filming indoors today – had a great brekkie this morning”

So be sure to check it out, when the wine goes on sale..
