Go past the sheep kraal, onwards through 2 gates, take a sharp right and drive until you have to put your bakkie into 4x4. Here you will find proper thick sand!! This is the home of ULTRA. A Chenin blanc bush vine vineyard planted 42 years ago.\u003c\/span\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"\u003eIt is warm and dry. No irrigation pipeline in sight. Only the tough survive and these plants had to dig deep to find water and nutrients. Interestingly enough, there is a natural aquifer running through these parts (which I show you in the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/E8DycJPJzRs?si=zb5G-Dv7S0XbfMRF\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eKortpad Kaaptoe fil\u003c\/a\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/E8DycJPJzRs?si=zb5G-Dv7S0XbfMRF\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\" target=\"_blank\"\u003em\u003c\/a\u003e). Also in that area, quite close to the surface, you'll find the iron-rich koffie klip subsoil. And that is where the plants find their magic. And in the cellar we guide the wine to the right fermentation vessel and leave the wine to do it's natural programmed-by-nature thing.
