Yet another new wine: Grenche 2007

This is the release of the 3rd wine in The Spaniard Educational Range: BLANKbottle Grenache 2007 – my personal favourite, lower in alcohol and the most RUSTIC of them all.

This is a Limited production of 600 bottles at R59 per bottle.

The grapes for this wine is from Piekenierskloof, Citrusdal. Grenache, as a grape variety, hails from ancient Spain. The cultivar is used mainly as a blending component in wines and you rarely find the cultivar used as a single varietal. You will however find that premium wines in areas like Châteauneuf-du-Pape in Southern France mainly consists of Grenache.
