Doc 2012

This is an ELGIN white blend that represents the rocky outcrops of Valley Road. It's a blend of mostly Riesling, Semillon and a bit of Sauvignon blanc.

The Story:

DOC 2012 is a wine made from grapes I buy from OUR FAMILY DOCTOR, doc Gary. He has a little farm on Valley Road, Elgin. This is the first vintage. All the components were fermented separately in older 500l French oak barrels and aged a year on the lease. Like most of my wines, absolutely nothing was added - NO sulphur before fermentation, NO yeast, NO acid… Just a minute bit of sulphur after fermentation and before bottling. The wine is fresh and vibrant with exceptional aging potential.
