POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER – this is what my previous winemaker, Stefan Johannes, still suffers from.

From 2019 to 2023, he was my assistant in the cellar, helping make 47 different wines from 66 vineyards in a single season.

They have now bought land in the Swartland – Lammershoek, their new property on the Paardeberg – which he now runs.

His first vintage there? Only two wines: Zwartwater Red and Zwartwater White.
