A Swartland blend of Grenache blanc, Clairette blanche, Rousanne, Chenin blanc and Viognier. A wild one!

The Story:

This wine is the last wine that Albert Ahrens and myself made together. Our friendship and joint winemaking project started in 2009 with a red wine called BLACK and white wine called THE WHITE BLACK representing vineyards from the Swartland. This wine is made in a super oxidative way. 100% foot stomped... In short, this means that we crushed every bunch of grapes that went into this wine with our feet. No machines were used in the production of this wine. It is a 100% natural wild wine, produced with grapes from a wild area in a wild and oxidative way. Fermented in barrels and aged for a year on the lease.
